ABOUT RAJA SAHIB JI
Everyone in Punjab is familiar of this name; Raja Ji. He is such a personality, who left his impact of piousness not only in Doaba but also in Punjab. Wherever, Raja Sahib Ji went, his followers built Gurudwaras in his memory in those places.
Birth Place
Raja Sahib Ji was born in village Bullowal (in his maternal village). His mother’s name was Sahib Devi and father Mangal Dass, who used to serve and pay respects to saintly figures from the very outset. Since he had no child, he himself used to lead a life, like true sadhu. One day when Mangal Dass Ji was in deep meditation, he saw a one vision and heard the divine saying,”you will be blessed with a son. He will be like a next God, who will share the sorrows of the sufferings and trodden people and thus the whole world will remember him”.
Underline
A learned pandit of village Teharpur gave his name. After taking a glimpse, pandit ji said he is like a bhagwan, and thus, he named him Bhagwan Dass. He obtained higher education from a Molvi of village Musapur. Molvi felt astonished on hearing Raja Ji’s strange miracles. Whenever Molvi Ji asked any questions in any language, Raja Ji answered in the same language very rightly.
Miracles
Raja Sahib was rarely interested in domestic work. To worship of God, accompany of sadhu’s and saints to serve food to hungry and remain in the doings of God were his motive. Raja Ji used fast and meditate many days without food. When his village mates asked him, “What do you eat when you are hungry”? Raji Sahib Ji answered, “I get food from Akal Purakh”. On insistence, some boys asked, we are also hungry, give something to eat. Then Raja Ji looked towards a small muddy pond with his saintly eyes. The mud became Karah Parshad. The boys got their Karah Parsad and ate with great belief. Their surprise left no bounds unturned. Thus all of the boys fell on Raja Sahib Ji’s feet.
Religious Places
Raja Ji’s own village was Mannan-Hana. But he hardly lived in his village. He belonged to a lumberdar family. His parents and relatives asked him to come back to his village and take the charge of lumberdar. Raja Ji said, “I am not inquest of anything. I have nothing to with lumbardaris. My duty is only to worship to God, do sangat, religious services and to encourage everyone to worship Akal Purakh”. By Virtue of his unique devotions, Raja Ji was praise in Punjab. Wherever Raja Sahib Ji went, a large member of people began to gather. Their followers /disciples constructed Gurdwara’s on the places he visited. Such as: village Rahpa, Takhat Sri Raja Sahib; village Sujjon, Gurdwara Bangla Sahib in village Gosal, Gurdwara Manji Sahib; in village Jhingra, Gurdwara Dukh Nivaran Sahib; and in village Majara Nu Abad, Gurdwara Rasokhana.
Gur Gaddi
In Village Jhingra, Baba Jawahar Singh Ji, was the true devotee of God, he recognized that Raja Sahib Ji is not an ordinary person. He is, in fact Godly saint. Baba Ji, kept Raja Sahib Ji with him. Baba Ji saw Raja Sahib Ji would wake up before him and would start meditating. Therefore, Baba Jawahar Singh Ji appointed Raja Sahib Ji his successor.
Raja Sahib Ji used to wear white cloth to cover his body with Pashmina cloth. He was very handsome, with glazing faces blue eyes, golden hair. Indeed it looked like if God himself has come on earth to enjoy nature’s beauty. Wherever he went, people came in great numbers. Raja Sahib Ji mostly lived in village Majara Nu Abad. Now this village is famous in the name of “Raja Sahib Ji Da Majara” in Punjab. From the same village, a follower, whose name was Sahib Dayal, used to serve Raja Sahib Ji. The whole life he served Raja Sahib Ji. When ever, he was ordered, he obeyed dutifully. He used to bring new shoes, decorated with tila and took back the old shoes. On seeing his Service, Maharaj was very happy and gave him four spoons full of sacred water for sipping from his own drink. As soon as he sipped the sacred water, he saw a supernatural light of the mysterious lightning from Sach Khand. Now the doors were open to reach Almighty and thus fell on the feet of Raja Sahib Ji. At last, one day when Raja Sahib Ji was sitting with him, Raja Ji said:” two tigers can not live in same jungle, similarly as two swords can not remain in one cover”. Thus removing cotton from the quilt, Raja Sahib Ji asked him to go with that quilt cover. On obeying the Raja Sahib Ji, he left and never came back.
Puran Dass appointed Langri
There were many devotees of Raja Ji. One of them was Puran Dass, who used to serve Raja Shaib Ji from dawn to dusk. With each breath he used to repeat Raja Sahib’s name, love with sangats and then involved himself with the service of langer with heart and soul. Being happy on his service, Maharaj asked Puran Dass, “I owe you the keys of Rasokhana today, but one thing you must bear in mind, do not fall in love with money or materialistic things. In fact, who so ever loves wealth (moh maya), it ruins him”. He was yet to move on hearing these words, Maharaj uttered an other words. “Today onwards it shall be your hand and my pocket (meaning do not hesitate to spend the money as much as you desire for the cause of human service or any good cause, there will be no dearth in Hospital in his Memory: the treasure). Indeed, today, it is fact that there are countless funds in Rasokhana. These sayings (or words) of Maharaj are universal and becoming more true today.
Enormous Love of Sangat
Whosoever, went to Raja Sahibs religious places with any ambitions and prayed whole heartedly, all their desires were fulfilled. Raja Sahib Ji’s religious places are well maintained, and are looked after in the same enthusiasm.
A hospital is running at Majara Raja Sahib in the memory of Sri Nabh Kamal Raja Sahib. Their followers celebrate Raja Sahib’s Gur Purab and anniversary abroad, funds accrued on these occasions are sent to the hospital. Another hospital is also running at village Rehpa in Raja Ji’s memory. In these hospitals poor people are treated on a very nominal amount. Those who are treated at these hospitals always praise and remember Raja Sahib Ji. The whole amount which comes from abroad, is kept with the trust. Dr. Gurdas Singh Shergill, who was formerly professor of Medical University, is incharge of the trust.

ਰੱਬੀ ਜੋਤ ਧੰਨ ਧੰਨ ਨਾਭ ਕੰਵਲ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੱਚਾ ਬੱਚਾ ਅੱਜ ਇਸ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਭਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਜਾਣੂ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਉਹ ਹਸਤੀ ਹਨ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਚਰਨ ਛੋਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਰਫ ਦੁਆਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਲਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਜਿਥੇ ਜਿਥੇ ਵੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਚਰਨ ਪਏ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੜੀ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਤੇ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਨਾਲ ਉੱਥੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਗੁਰੂਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਉਸਾਰੇ ਹਨ।
ਜਨਮ ਅਸਥਾਨ
ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਪਿੰਡ ਬੱਲੋਵਾਲ ਨਾਨਕੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਤਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇਵੀ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਖੋਂ ਹੋਇਆ। ਆਪ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਮੰਗਲ ਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਬਹੁਤ ਦੇਰ ਤੋਂ ਘਰ ਔਲਾਦ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਖੁਦ ਵੀ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਤ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਰਿਹਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਨਿਪੁੰਨ ਹੋਏ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਸੱਚੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਬਾਣੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਘਰ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਜੋ ਸਾਖ ਸ਼ਾਖ ਰੱਬ ਹੀ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਦੁਖੀਆਂ, ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਲੂਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰੇਗੀ।
ਵਿੱਦਿਆ
ਆਪ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਜਾਚਨਾ ਤਾਹਰਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਪੰਡਤ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀ। ਸਭ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਨਿਰਾ ਹੀ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਵੀ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦਾਸ ਹੀ ਠੀਕ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਆਪ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਸਾ ਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੌਲਵੀ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਈ। ਪਰ ਮੌਲਵੀ ਜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਦੰਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਂਗਲੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਮੌਲਵੀ ਜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਜੀ ਤੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਦੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਬੜੇ ਠੀਕ ਤੇ ਸੁਚੱਜੇ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਦੱਸਦੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਮੌਲਵੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁੱਛਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਉਸੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਲੀ ਭਾਂਤ ਦਸਦੇ।
ਕੌਤਕ
ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਘਰ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਾਰ ਘੱਟ ਹੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜੱਪਣਾ, ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਕਰਨੀ, ਭੁਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਨ-ਪਾਣੀ ਛਕਾਣਾ, ਹਰ ਵਕਤ ਉਸ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਮੰਨਣਾ, ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਖਾਸ ਖੂਬੀਅਤ ਸੀ। ਆਪ ਕਈ-ਕਈ ਦਿਨ ਭੁੱਖੇ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਜਦੋਂ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਸਾਥੀ ਲੜਕੇ ਇਹ ਪੁੱਛਦੇ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਭੁੱਖੇ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਕੀ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਆਪ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਸੀ, ‘ਸਾਨੂੰ ਖਾਣਾ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਤੋਂ ਆ ਜਾਂਦਾਂ ਹੈ’। ਜਿਦ ਕਰਨ ‘ਤੇ ਕੁੱਝ ਲੜਕੇ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਕੁੱਝ ਖੁਆਓ ਤਾਂ ਆਪ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਛੱਪੜੀ ਵੱਲ੍ਹ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਸਵੱਲੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਤੱਕਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਕੜਾਹ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਦ ਪਿਆ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਲੜਕਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਬੜੀ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਸਹਿਤ ਛਕਿਆ ਤੇ ਆਪਜੀ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਢਹਿ ਢੇਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਅਸਥਾਨ
ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਿੰਡ ਮੰਨਣਹਾਣਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਆਪ ਜੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਘੱਟ ਰਹੇ। ਆਪ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਨੰਬਰਦਾਰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸੀ। ਪਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਤੇ ਚਲੋ ਘਰ ਚਲੋ ਆਪਣੀ ਨੰਬਰਦਾਰੀ ਸੰਭਾਲੋ ਤਾਂ ਆਪ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਅਸੀਂ ਨੰਬਰਦਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੀ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ। ਸਾਡੀ ਡਿਊਟੀ ਤਾਂ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣਾ, ਸਤਸੰਗ ਕਰਨਾ, ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਤ ਕਰਨੀ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਕਾਫੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਇੱਕਠੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ। ਜਿੱਥੇ-ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੀ ਗਏ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਬੜੇ ਹੀ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਘਰ ਉਸਾਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਪਿੰਡ ਰਹਿਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਖਤ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਪਿੰਡ ਸੁਜੋ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਬੰਗਲਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਪਿੰਡ ਗੋਸਲਾਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੰਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਪਿੰਡ ਝਿੰਗੜਾਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਿਵਾਰਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅਤੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਮਜਾਰਾ ਨੌਂ ਆਬਾਦ ਵਿਖੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਰਸੋਖਾਨਾ ਆਦਿ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਉੱਚੇ ਤੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਉਸਾਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
ਗੁਰਗੱਦੀ
ਝਿੰਗੜਾਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਬਾਬਾ ਜਵਾਹਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਸਨ, ਨੇ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੋਈ ਸਾਧਾਰਨ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਦੂਸਰਾ ਰੂਪ ਹਨ। ਬਾਬਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੀ ਰੱਖ ਲਿਆ। ਬਾਬਾ ਜੀ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਬਾਲਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਬਾਬਾ ਜਵਾਹਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇੀ ਗੁਰਗੱਦੀ ਦੇ ਵਾਰਿਸ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਆਪਣਾ ਘਰ
ਪਿੰਡ ਮਜਾਰਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਮਾਈ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜੱਸੀ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੀ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਤਨੋਂ-ਮਨੋਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਨਿਵਾ ਕੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੀ ਹੂੰਦੀ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਅੱਧੀ ਰਾਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਜੱਸੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਦੁੱਧ ਗਰਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਾਂ ਸਰਦਾਈ ਆਦਿ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਲਿਆਓ ਤਾਂ ਗਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੱਲਾ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਆਖਦੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਜੀ ਹੁਕਮ ਕਰੋ। ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਜੀ ਮਾਈ ਜੱਸੀ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਘਰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਆਵੇ, ਮਾਈ ਜੱਸੀ ਨੇ ਕਦੀ ਵੀ ਮੱਥੇ ਵੱਟ ਨਹੀ ਸੀ ਪਾਇਆ। ਮਾਈ ਜੱਸੀ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਇਹ ਸਾਡਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਹੀ ਘਰ ਹੈ।
ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਿਆਲ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ
ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਚਿੱਟੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਤੇ ਪਸ਼ਮੀਨੇ ਦੀ ਚਾਦਰ ਦੀ ਬੁੱਕਲ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਗੋਰਾ ਰੰਗ, ਸਰਬਤੀ ਅੱਖੀਆਂ, ਸੁਨੇਹਰੇ ਵਾਲ, ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਇੰਝ ਪਿਆ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਕਿ ਥਲ ਤੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਆਪ ਕੁਦਰਤ ਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਾਰੇ ਤੱਕਣ ਆਏ ਹਨ। ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੀ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਫੀ ਰੌਣਕ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ। ਰਾਜਾ ਸਹਿਬ ਹੁਣ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਪਿੰਡ ਮਜਾਰੇ ਨੌਂ ਆਬਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਲੱਗੇ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਪਿੰਡ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਮਜਾਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਫੀ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਹੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਪੁਰਖ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਿਆਲ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਸਾਰੀ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿੱਠ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਖਾਈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਹੁਕਮ ਲੱਗਦਾ, ਪਿਛਲਖੁਰੀ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ। ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਲਈ ਤਿੱਲੇਦਾਰ ਜੋੜਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੋਂ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਰਦਾਈ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਚਾਰ ਘੁੱਟ ਪੀਣ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਬਸ ਸਰਦਾਈ ਪੀਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸਚਖੰਡ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਦਸਮ ਦੁਆਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜੇ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਆਪ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਗਏ। ਆਖਿਰ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਨਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਕੋਲ ਬਿਠ੍ਹਾ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਿਆਲ, ਇੱਕ ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ।’ ਬਸ ਰਜਾਈ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਰੂੰ ਕੱਢਕੇ ਖਾਲੀ ਕਪੜਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਤੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ ਜੋ ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਏ।
ਪੂਰਨ ਦਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਂਗਰੀ
ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਸੇਵਕ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਪੂਰਨ ਦਾਸ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਛੁਪਣ ਤੱਕ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਹਰ ਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੱਪਣਾ, ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੰਗਰ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੁਟ ਜਾਣਾ। ਆਖਿਰ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਜੀ ਆਪ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੋਂ ਅਤਿਅੰਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ “ਪੂਰਨ ਆਹ ਲੈ ਅੱਜ ਤੋਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਂ ਰਸੋਖਾਨੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਾਬੀਆਂ ਸੌਂਪ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਪਰ ਇੱਕ ਗੱਲ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖੀਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ। ਇਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾਲੀ ਨਾਗਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਵੀ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਇਹ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਡੰਗ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।” ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਹੀ ਲੱਗਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਨਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਦੂਸਰਾ ਵਚਨ ਵੀ ਉਚਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ “ਜਾਹ ਅੱਜ ਤੋਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੱਥ ਤੇ ਸਾਡਾ ਖੀਸਾ (ਜੇਬ) ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਮਾਇਆ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਵੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਵੰਡੀ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਨੱਕੋ ਨੱਕ ਭਰਿਆ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਅਟੱਲ ਸੱਚਾਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਰਸੋਖਾਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ।” ਇਹ ਵਚਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਨਸ਼ਾਹ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਤੇ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਕੂਕਰ
ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਸਭ ਦੀਆਂ ਖਾਲੀ ਝੋਲੀਆਂ ਭਰਨੀਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਕੰਮ ਸੀ। ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੂਕਰ (ਕੁੱਤੇ) ਸਨ। ਜਿਧਰ ਵੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਜਾਂਦੇ, ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਜਾਂਦੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਣਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੇਖ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇੱਧਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਕੂਕਰ ਬੈਠੇ ਹਨ, ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਇਧਰ ਹੀ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਸੇਵਕ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੂਕਰ ਪਹਿਰਾ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਥਾਹ ਪਿਆਰ
ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਧਾਮਾਂ ਤੇ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਆਸਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਘਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਤੇ ਸੁਚੱਜੇ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਯਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਨਾਭ ਕੰਵਲ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਮਜਾਰਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਚਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸੇਵਕ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਰਸੀ ‘ਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਉਤਸਵ ‘ਤੇ ਅਖੰਡ ਪਾਠ ਕਰਵਾ ਕੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਇੱਕਤਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਦੇ ਹਨ। ਦੂਸਰਾ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿੰਡ ਰਹਿਪੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਚਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਘੱਟ ਪੈਸਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਲਾਜ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਵੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਜ ਕਰਵਾ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮਜਾਰਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਨੁੰ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਭੇਜੀ ਗਈ ਮਾਇਆ ਇੱਕ ਟਰੱਸਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸਦੇ ਇੰਨਚਾਰਜ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਗੁਰਦਾਸ ਸਿੰਘ ਸ਼ੇਰਗਿੱਲ ਜੋ ਇੱਕ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਵੀ ਹਨ। ਹੋਰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਜੀਵਨੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਲਿਖੀ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਪੁਸਤਕ “ਨੂਰੀਂ ਕਿਰਨਾਂ” ਪੜ੍ਹ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋ। “ਨੂਰੀਂ ਕਿਰਨਾਂ” ਦੀ ਕਾਪੀ ਕਨੇਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਉੱਪਲਬਧ ਹੈ।
ਬਰਸੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਨਾਭ ਕੰਵਲ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਰਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਮਜਾਰਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਭਾਦਰੋਂ ਦੀ ਮੱਸਿਆ ਨੁੰ ਮਨਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਕਨੇਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਪਿੰਡ ਮਜਾਰਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮਨਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
